It was a favorite Indian mystic of mine, Fubbi Quantz, who once said that only those who give love, ever get love; while love continues to elude those who frantically seek it.

Ordinarily, "getting clients" would seem like one has to invade Mars and kidnap Martians! However, a mindset-shift from the "getting clients" negative-stereotype, completely eliminates the "us-them" divide; to mentally embrace the client, seeing him as one would a neighbor - and not as an outlandish Martian to be kidnapped!

Mentally embracing the client as a neighbor, attitude of the warm, human "Hello" is a good foundation for igniting a fruitful business relationship. Any incidence of tension, stress or forcing it, isn't consistent with principles of optimal creativity and maximal productivity.

With cues from the sweet stories in the above post, we can confidently embrace "the client" as a neighbor who needs our help. "Getting clients" should be the process of giving help to a neighbor who needs us. It should flow so naturally, coming as spontaneously as, "Hello neighbor, can I help you with that?"
