It’s why, as writers, mentors recommend we have our work read aloud to us. When you read it, your brain knows the tone it wants to set… someone else won’t. Listen to how they read it and watch their expressions… if it’s not how you would read it, re-write it.

We know we should read our copy aloud to check for stumbling blocks like awkward wording, etc. I&#039;ve never thought about having someone else read it aloud to me to be sure I&#039;ve captured the tone I want to convey. Thanks!]]></description>
