Hi Marian,

Once I have the case study written, I will post the link in this thread. My term as the B2B Reality Blogger ends at the end of October.

As for trying to educate "B", that could end up like trying to teach a pig to sing. A complete waste of my time and the pig probably won't have much fun either.

As for becoming a construction copywriter, it sounds like you have the ideal background. Not many are brave enough to act as their own general contractor. I could see sharing your experience getting estimates, hiring subs, and keeping the project on time and budget as a great way to test the waters!

I enjoyed reading this article. My father was a builder of beautiful homes, but I wonder if he were alive and doing business today if he would be like B in Client 1 or like Client 2. And is it worth one's time to try to persuade B or anyone like him who really does not understand the Internet but holds the purse strings?

When you write your Case Study, will it be published? It is really something I would like to read.
I always loved the construction business, which was odd for a girl back in the day.

I refurbished three houses acting as my own contractor and dealing with the subs successfully. One house was 132-year-old Italianate house in an historic district. It came out beautifully, and I opened and operated it as a bed and breakfast inn.

The other two houses were each 75+ years old with good foundations despite earthquakes in California. Again, subs did great work, and when I sold all three of the properties I made profits.

I wonder if I might succeed as a construction copywriter, if that is enough experience for a start. I know I would enjoy it.

Keep writing and enjoying yourself. I look forward to your Case Study.
