Thanks for the feedback John! Don’t worry, I still do stuff like that all the time – my conversation skills aren’t as good as my writing skills! But, I find it gets better with practice, just like any skill. I’ll have a post about networking in a couple of weeks, so I hope it will be helpful! 🙂

Thanks, Tammy for the great advice. I remember literally running into Carline Anglade-Cole in the hallway at my first bootcamp, I stammered out a good morning before the mental hard-drive blew. She said, good morning. I was so embarassed. Later, another opportunity zoomed past when I didn’t approach her and her daughter after they had presented.

Excellent advice and two powerful key points: “Just start” and “follow your gut.”

So important, yet so familiar, that I lose sight of them, forget them, and then wonder why I’m stuck!
