John, these exercise options you mention are all good.
But they're fairly superficial.

Real exercise doesn't need to take long, Unfortunately, most
exercises people do are a complete waste of their time.

A good suggestion is to learn how to skip. Even better do burpees.
Both train every muscle in your body, including your heart.
And you can do them in your rec room. If you can do 100
burpees you could be competitive athlete.

My personal favorite is walking up the Niagara escarpment.
It only takes 20 minutes for a 1 km journey, down and jogging up.
Burns more fat than 3-4 hours of cycling, and strengthens your legs.

Real exercise activates your pituitary gland and growth hormones.
These burn fat while you sleep, and potentially for 2 days after.

On the same topic, start eating real food. Even small meals will
fill you up. You'll eat far less and never be hungry. Eat boiled eggs,
oatmeal, yogurt, milk, pasta, chicken, 2 fruits a day.

And drink lots and lots of coffee at Starbucks.
