Hi Ed,

I am spanking brand new to this platform as well as to B2B copywriting. I would have left 5 stars and did not because I believe that "targeted" cold calling can be effective and worthy of inclusion into Quadrant # 2. Its an trained skill and can be effective if for no other reason not many people are willing to cold call business prospects out of fear.

I say this having the reference points of cold calling prospects, 75 - 100 calls daily as a stockbroker, to see if they qualified as suspects as clients. I was an insurance agent for a lot longer time. Me and another agent would go out together and cold call knock on doors to sell policies. And we were mildly to very successful from week to week. I wouldn't suggest in person B2B cold calling though in today's business culture.

A lot of the prospecting tools today, mostly online were not available back in the day and being on 100% commission, if you didn't sell you didn't eat.. To even approach cold calling today with all of the distractions business people are burdened with, I would not consider cold calling without investing in a targeted niche list where there is a demonstrated strong recognized need for copywriters in the industry.

Overall I learned a lot regarding where to focus my prospecting/marketing activity. Thanks much for this.
