I’m a Word guy also and I was frustrated with the same issue a couple of years ago. The solution I use is Office 360. I can use all Office products on any device (I’m an Apple guy too) and everything is saved to the cloud. There is a monthly fee that’s minimal, honestly I don’t remember what is off the top of my head. But, I am able to use Word and everything else anywhere I go.
