In reply to <a href="https://b2bwritersinternational.com/2015/05/why-you-need-to-take-action-yesterday/#comment-533">Lee Dinkins</a>.

Hi Lee,

Thank you for the very nice comment.

And yes, you are right, if you are comfortable on the phone, then go for it. Contact the person that way.

Me personally, I hate the phone. Not my deal, but in the case you mention I would simply ask to speak to the proper personnel and get the contact info you desire, then take action.

I did that once for an overseas B2B software company. I didn't have the name of the Marketing Manager, so I got on the phone with HR and got it.

Hope that helps. The MOST important part is to just do something. You might hit a few bumps, but then you'll get rolling and the magic will happen.

All the best,
Mac

Hi Mac

As always very useful and timely information with just the needed boost to getting writers to take action.

I was wondering about those instances where you can't locate anyone on LinkedIn and all you have is either their telephone number and a contact us form on their website.

Do you call the company number and ask to speak to their Marketing Director or the Director of Communications?

If you are able to talk to the person in charge of their marketing. Is it important to stress that you are not trying to make a sale, but you want to keep in touch in case they have a need for their services?

Thanks
