I’ve been through a couple of similar experiences, where the initial BIG proposal got whittled down to a nub, and then pushed off as other priorities took over.

Sounds like you’ve got a good mastermind group there John that’ll help you weather all of the changes. That’s an important aspect of a freelancer’s life too. Having a good support net.
